Known to reduce the risk of sudden death from cardiac catastrophes, this insightful guide details how important magnesium can be for optimal nutritional health-- especially amongst men who deal with stress on a daily basis. Highlighting the many varied and common health problems that can be alleviated or reversed by simple and safe supplementation with magnesium, this well-researched study promotes the mineral as capable of making a huge difference to overall health--and illustrates that even in the developed world, people still contain inadequate levels of magnesium in their bodies.

This is not as good a book as the one written by Dr Mark Sircus on the same topic - but it is well researched and methodically set out. It lacks real passion though - and comes across (rightly or wrongly) as someone who is scared to say too much against mainstream medicine. Dr Mark's tome is hopeful, enthusiastic and extremely interesting and one might say in places, controversial. But it treats you like a sensible person who wants to make up their own mind, but leaves you in no doubt that there are moves afoot in big pharma etc to stop you feeling as good as you can. To keep you on the medication because ultimately it is profit driven. Magnesium supplementation will help you avoid that way of life - if done properly of course. But it is there for the taking. You just need to read the right books. Unfortunately this is not it. It does not tell you the myriad of uses for Mg nor how best to take it. If I had read this book first I would have thought it was okay - maybe three stars - but having read Dr Mark's version first this one is a poor introduction to the wonders of Magnesium. But some people may like the methodical style of this writer and then I can see that they will really take to this book. Either way, if it spreads the word about Magnesium supplementation then it has to be a good thing.
